Immunizations

Immunizations are the best way to protect you and your family from vaccine-preventable diseases and illnesses. Do not wait to vaccinate!

We offer a wide variety of vaccines, including all school required immunizations, TB tests and more! We do not offer Travel Vaccines, but you can visit our Resources page to find out the closest Travel Clinic locations.

All SEKMCHD Offices are VFC Providers!

What does this mean for you?

The Vaccines For Children (VFC) program is a federally funded program that provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay. Contact your local office today to see if you qualify.

If your child is 18 years of age or younger they may qualify for vaccines at a lower cost.

VFC Eligible Client Requirements

Child is 18 or under AND

  • DOES NOT have insurance OR
  • HAS Title 19 KanCare (Medicare) insurance OR
  • Is covered by private insurance but immunizations are not covered under client's plan

CHIP Eligible Client Requirements

Child is 18 or under AND

  • DOES NOT have insurance OR
  • HAS Title 21 Medicare insurance OR
  • Is covered by private insurance but immunizations are not covered under client's plan

Private Insurance

If your child is covered by BCBS and your plan covers immunizations, we will bill BCBS. If any portion of the vaccination is not covered, the remaining balance will be the client's responsibility. It is also the responsibility of the client to contact BCBS to find out if immunizations are covered.

Prices vary for private vaccines. Contact your local health department for the cost of vaccinations.

If immunizations ARE NOT covered, the child (18 and under) is qualified for VFC.

If a VFC client is unable to pay the administration fee they will not be denied vaccination.

SEKMCHD, in collaboration with KDHE, is providing this protection for your infant by vaccinating anyone who is in close contact or care for infants under one year of age who are too young to be fully vaccinated.
